NECROLOGIO Lamberto Furlan

I have known Lamberto since 1977. I worked with him until his retirement with the Australian Opera and was privileged to call him and Beryl friends. I will never forget that glorious voice, his good looks and that infectious laugh. He was one of life’s true gentlemen a wonderful human being and he adored and worshiped his beautiful wife Beryl. I had the great privilege and joy of learning singing from Lamberto, and his beautiful wife Beryl, for many years, in their home in Sydney, Australia. Lamberto always made you feel so special and cared for and he so generously shared his enormous artistry, skill, wisdom and life with warmth, graciousness and a wonderful sense of humour. Lamberto and Beryl welcomed my husband Mark and I to their home in Padova a number of times over the years, after they returned to Italy. Those times are precious gifts that we will always treasure. Our days were always enriched by spending time with Lamberto and Beryl. They made our hearts sing! Mark and I both loved and admired Lamberto very much for the very special person he was and we feel so blessed to have know him. We send all our our love, hugs and prayers to darling Beryl.

Lamberto Furlan, was a gentleman, friend and for many years my singing teacher. The lessons were more than singing opera. They taught me about living a good life. I will never forget this great man🙏🙏🙏. My thoughts go out to Beryl who equally is a wonderful lady and teacher. Angela and I send our love to you in this difficult time. ❤️❤️❤️

Our hearts are saddened to hear of the passing of this wonderful man. A true character with an incredible presence. Lamberto and Beryl generously opened their home to provide singing lessons into the 2010s, before their move back to Italy. I was so fortunate that my dear friend Ben introduced me to the Furlans. The memories and recordings I have from those sessions are treasured dearly, and always will be. Sending all of our love and strength to Beryl. Thank you for enriching our lives, Lamberto.
